AQUA’MAR took part in the institutional meeting between the Université Abdelmalek Essaâdi (UAE) and the UMONS Recherche, Innovation & Entrepreneuriat (UMONS), held at the Presidency of the UAE, in the presence of the Vice-President for Scientific Research and Cooperation Hinde CHERKAOUI DEKKAKI, with the shared objective of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Discussions focused on key topics of mutual interest, including research valorization, intellectual property management, and the development of bilateral scientific collaborations, particularly within the framework of the Académie de recherche et d’enseignement supérieur – ARES programs.

Attention was also given to the administrative and financial mechanisms supporting ongoing joint projects—such as AQUA’MAR—as well as to new opportunities for collaborative research and academic exchange.

At the end of this productive meeting, the Presidents of both universities agreed to formalize this dynamic partnership through a forthcoming framework agreement, aiming to strengthen and sustain academic and scientific cooperation between Belgium and Morocco.

This exchange marks a promising step toward a long-term and impactful partnership, fostering shared values of innovation, sustainability, and mutual development.

The AQUA’MAR partners, SMPC UMONS, BOMB, Haute Ecole Provinciale de Hainaut – Condorcet, and Faculté Polydisciplinaire à Larache are delighted to contribute to these new avenues of collaboration, fostering a spirit of mutual understanding and joint progress between both institutions.

Stay tuned for the upcoming framework agreement and future joint initiatives!
