On 27 February, a memorable page was written at the first in-person meeting of the ARES PRD project “(Re)vitalising Moroccan aquaculture by upcycling natural resources derived from arthropods”, held in Marrakech. This outstanding collaboration between Cadi Ayyad University, UMONS (SMPC UMONS) and Abdelmalek Essaâdi University, with the support of the Academy of Research and Higher Education (ARES), promises to bring crucial innovations to Moroccan aquaculture.

As a PhD student working in this constantly evolving field, I witnessed a convergence of diverse talents and expertise, each contributing to our shared mission. The lively discussions, fruitful exchanges and partnerships forged during the day reflected a true synergy of efforts to revitalise aquaculture in Morocco.

I am deeply grateful to every participant. As a researcher, I am inspired by the immense potential of this project and by the certainty that our collaboration will lay the foundations for a more robust and sustainable Moroccan aquaculture. 🌊🐟

May this first meeting be the prelude to an exciting collective adventure, in which research, innovation and ongoing collaboration will feed our shared ambitions. Let’s set sail together towards a promising future for aquaculture! 👩‍🔬💙
