✨ 2025 Annual Meeting of the ARES-PRD Aqua’Mar Project at UMONS! ✨🌊

We had the pleasure of organizing the 2025 annual meeting of the ARES-PRD Aqua’Mar project (Revitalizing Moroccan Aquaculture through the Valorization of Natural Resources from Arthropods), funded by Académie de recherche et d’enseignement supérieur – ARES, at UMONS.

This event brought together all the project partners, including UMONS, Université Abdelmalek Essaâdi and Université Cadi Ayyad, Haute Ecole Provinciale de Hainaut – Condorcet and AQUA M’DIQ, fostering valuable exchanges on our research progress and future opportunities for the development of Moroccan aquaculture.

A key highlight of the meeting was the presentations by PhD students Imad Zaouite, Samia Elouali, and Maryam BOUSAID, who shared significant advancements in their research, contributing to the project’s ongoing scientific development.

The steering committee was also held in the presence of Samira B., Hicham Chairi, Matthias Gosselin, PhD and Mohammed Rhazi, allowing for discussions on strategic directions and the next steps of the project.

Additionally, laboratory visits provided an opportunity to explore the latest scientific innovations. We also had the honor of attending Professor Philippe Dubois lecture on « Chemistry: A Key to a Sustainable Future », highlighting the fundamental role of chemistry in the transition toward sustainability.
