We are delighted to participate in the Aquaculture Morocco International Conference, held on December 3–4 in Agadir and organized by the Agadir Horticultural Complex, representing the AQUA’MAR project, a research program funded by the Académie de recherche et d’enseignement supérieur – ARES, and developed through a strategic collaboration between the Department of SMPC UMONS, UMONS Recherche, Innovation & Entrepreneuriat, Haute Ecole Provinciale de Hainaut – Condorcet in Belgium, and Université Cadi Ayyad as well as Université Abdelmalek Essaâdi in Morocco. This initiative aims to strengthen scientific and technological capacities in the field of sustainable aquaculture, and engaging with leading experts in the field. The event brought together national and international researchers, professionals and industry stakeholders, with discussions that were highly insightful and enriched by diverse perspectives.

Our sincere thanks go to the organizing committee, led by Mr. Rachid Ganga, and all invited speakers for delivering such a high-quality scientific and professional event.

A special appreciation to the people we had the pleasure of meeting during these two days:
Dominique Bureau, Kabir Chowdhury, Lukas Manomaitis, Sunil Kadri, Chalor Limsuwan, Feyza Sanver, Diego Garrido Lorenzo and Daniel Hernandez peraza.

We look forward to continuing our efforts to advance sustainable aquaculture through the work of the AQUA’MAR project.
